Addison watched as the movers hauled their things from the moving van up the steps of their newly purchased brownstone and into the beautiful doors. There was her futon couch, Derek's big, comfy chair, her mother's antique table--That should be handled with care. "Please, be careful with that," she called out to the two moving men who were carrying it. Sighing, she turned to look at her brownstone again.
It was a beautiful place, really; a beautiful place to begin their lives together. She could see herself and Derek having many more wonderful moments here. They were more successful now and could afford better things like the brownstone. Their lives would be perfect and they would be able to start a family when the time came. That time wasn't anytime soon.
A baby was definitely not something Addison was ready for, not yet. Her career--their careers were only beginning to look up. Both of them were working towards become head of their departments. Time to care for a child just wasn't something they had right now. One day, Addison told herself, she would have beautiful children with her wonderful husband.
She crossed her arms in front of her chest and smiled, looking the brownstone up and down. This was their new home and it was absolutely perfect in her eyes.
